Selection of Poppies, inspired by the Iceland Poppies varieties in soft tones of nudes and neutrals.
These paper blooms are lovingly handcrafted and entirely made of paper. Each flower is unique in its own way and created to last. The stems are made of wire that can be bent into shape and cut down, you will need some pliers or wire cutters for that. The flower heads are between 7-9 cm wide, and the stems are approx 30-35 cm tall (including the flower head part).
Displaying these blooms is easy, they look great in slim vases. Together or dotted around, they will make a great addition to your dried flower arrangements.
They especially pair well with palms, pampas, eucalyptus, and grasses, adding a pop of color.
I can also see them being part of a bridal bouquet. Poppies on their own make a beautiful solo bouquet. Or they can be part of a bigger arrangement.
The flowers are made to order, kindly allow 3-5 days for the flowers to be dispatched depending on work volume. I will contact you after the purchase to update you on the progress and dispatch date.
By selecting the number of stems you will receive a selection of colors, if you have any special preference for some tones please send me a note with your color preference or leave it blank for a "florist choice".
For urgent orders or different quantities, please send me a message, and I will be happy to help you.
The flowers will come wrapped in tissue paper and with care instructions. Please include your message at the checkout if you would like to send them as a present.
All pictures are taken under natural light, looking to show the real tones of the flowers. Note that the colors can vary depending on your monitor settings.
Paper Poppies in Pastel Tones
Materials
Crepe paper
The main ingredient for paper flowers. A type of thinly coated tissue paper, that is gathered to produce a crinkle texture. I make my flowers to last, and for the majority of them, I use heavy crepe paper due to its resilience and good stretching properties. I also use fine crepe and tissue paper for small details such as stamens, sepals, etc...
Wires
Another key element of a paper flower is used to make stems, leaves, internal structures on large blooms, etc…
Clay
I use clay to create some small details or as a part of a sculpture. Any piece made from clay will be properly cured, varnished/painted and protected.
Paint, dyes, and varnish
I use a multitude of materials to add color and little details. Watercolour, dyes, inks, pastels, markers, etc… For each flower, there is a different technique.
Every flower is protected with a paper sealant to add extra protection against humidity and UV light. Always refer to the care instructions on how to look after your flowers.
Dried and Preserved Flora
I often include dried and preserved botanicals in my sculptures, which share similar care tips than paper flowers.
